Spot Coordinates & Elevations

Place spot coordinates and spot elevations on selected elements across views.

When to use it

Setting-out plans, foundation plans and site coordination views that need coordinate or level callouts on many points.

Add the task

Open the task queue and add Spot Coordinates (or Spot Elevations).

Choose views and elements

Select the target views and element categories. In active-view mode the task runs on the view you currently have open — no manual view selection needed.

Pick the placement points

Choose which points on each element receive an annotation — for example corner points on floors and pads. Only the corners you tick are created.

Run and review

Run the queue and check a view: spot annotations sit on the chosen points with the spot family and type you configured.

Tips

• Shared vs. project coordinates: confirm the project's coordinate setup first — spot coordinates report the survey point.
• Crowded plans: enable leaders in the spot type so values stay readable.
